How product name, SKU, and attributes shape alt text

· Lidor Asulin

An image of a shoe on white can be described from the pixels alone. The description gets more specific when the generator also knows the product is a men’s running shoe in a named color and size system. That context comes from WooCommerce, not from the filename.

What is included

When the image belongs to a product, EzAlt can include the product name, SKU, and attribute values, plus the parent title and categories. The site language goes with the request so the description can match the store.

Product price is not sent. Card data is never part of generation. The image itself is transmitted over HTTPS so a vision model can see it.

Context is not a keyword dump

Attributes should help the sentence match the photo. They should not turn the alt text into a list of every variation. If a draft reads like a spec sheet, edit it in the review queue before you approve it.
