These terms cover the EzAlt plugin, the service at https://ezalt.ez-site.com, and this website. Installing or using EzAlt means you agree to them.

The service

EzAlt generates image alt text for WordPress, including WooCommerce product images. Some features need an internet connection because generation runs on our servers and through OpenRouter. We may change, suspend, or stop parts of the service.

Acceptable use

You will not:

Use EzAlt for unlawful, fraudulent, or abusive purposes
Upload illegal or infringing content for processing
Attempt to break, overload, or bypass credits, checkout, or the API
Resell or reverse engineer the service without permission

We may suspend access when we detect abuse.

AI output

Generated alt text can be wrong, incomplete, or unsuitable. EzAlt does not guarantee accessibility compliance, WCAG or ADA compliance, or any search ranking. You are responsible for reviewing text before you rely on it.

Credits and payments

New sites receive 5 free starter credits. One credit is used for one successful generation. Approving a review-queue draft does not use another credit. Regenerating does. Images that already have alt text are skipped.

Paid packs are optional one-time purchases handled by Freemius. Prices can change for future purchases. Unless the law requires otherwise, completed purchases are non-refundable. Credits are service quota, not a license that unlocks features.

Your content and ours

You keep ownership of your images and site content. EzAlt, including the plugin, branding, and service, stays ours except for the rights these terms give you to use it. The plugin is licensed under GPLv2 or later.

Third parties

The service depends on infrastructure, OpenRouter, and Freemius. We are not responsible for outages or policy changes at those providers.

Disclaimers and liability

The service is provided as is and as available, without warranties of merchantability, fitness for a particular purpose, accuracy, or uninterrupted operation. To the extent the law allows, we are not liable for indirect or consequential damages, including lost rankings, accessibility claims, data loss, or business interruption. Our total liability related to the service is limited to the amount you paid us for EzAlt in the 12 months before the claim.
